The Classroom to Caregiver (HHA) – Application & Orientation process is the first step for individuals interested in participating in the HomeCare Hands Home Health Aide training and employment program.
During orientation, applicants will learn more about the program and employment expectations, complete required paperwork, and begin the pre-program and pre-employment screening process.
What to Expect
During the Application & Orientation process, applicants will:
- Complete required application and onboarding paperwork.
- Review the HHA training and employment pathway.
- Review program requirements, expectations, and the train-to-work model.
- Complete authorization for the required background screening (CORI).
- Submit required identification and employment documentation.
- Learn about available HHA training cohorts and next steps.
Orientation Details
- Orientation is offered on various dates and times.
- Applicants only need to attend one orientation session.
- Sessions generally last approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on attendance and form-completion needs.
- Applicants may attend orientation to learn more about the program without committing to continue. You may choose not to proceed with the program at any time.

- Social Security Card.
- Mobile phone or tablet with access to your email.
Dress Code
Business casual attire or scrubs are required for orientation.

Please enter through Door #807 at the center of the building.
Free parking is available. We ask that applicants avoid parking directly against the building when possible to preserve accessible spaces for elderly and disabled visitors.
Important
Completing the Application & Orientation process does not guarantee admission into the HHA Training Program or employment with HomeCare Hands.
Applicants must successfully complete all applicable pre-program and pre-employment requirements and receive clearance from HCH EDU before registering for an HHA training cohort.
Once all required pre-program steps have been completed and the applicant has been cleared for cohort registration, they will receive information about available HHA training cohorts and instructions for selecting a cohort.
